Events SAN ANGELO Dr. David Womack (DMIN, PSYD, LPC, MAC, LMFT) went to be with his Lord Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Eola Baptist Church in Eola. Arrangements are by Robert Massie Funeral Home. Dr. Womack was born July 31, 1955, at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. His parents were Marvin W. Womack and Emma Lou Flanary Womack. Dr. Womack was ordained by Harrison Avenue Baptist Church in 1979, and pastored churches in Missouri, California and Texas. His last church was Eola Baptist Church in Eola, Texas. He also served several internships and served as a Christian counselor from 1998 until his death. He graduated from Central High School in San Angelo in 1973; from Angelo State University with a Bachelor of Arts in 1978; a Master of Public Administration in 1979, and a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology in 1992; from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity in 1984; from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary with a doctorate of ministry in 1987; and from Southern California University of Professional Studies with a doctorate of psychology in 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Melvin Womack. Dr. Womack is survived by his wife, Julia Womack of San Angelo; daughter Reanna Choate and her husband, Derek Choate, of San Angelo; son David Steven Womack II of San Angelo; stepsons Michael Farris and wife Michele of Brady and Daniel Farris and wife Angela of Thomas, Okla.; sister Brenda Young of Wenatchee, Wash.; special brother in heart, Greg Nees and wife Judy of Richmond, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and a multitude of extended family, clients and church members. Doc David loved and was loved by a multitude of family, friends and clients. He especially would want everyone to remember the times spent with him and the love they had for him. May He rest in peace with the Lord. The family suggests memorials, in lieu of flowers, to Eola Baptist Church, 11894 FM 381, Eola, TX 76937.
