About | Gundelach Betty "BoBo" Gundelach, 59, of Columbus, passed away June 18 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston. She was born in Sealy, July 5, 1950 to Edwin John and Hester Mary (Schuette) Gundelach Sr. She worked as a store clerk for AL&M Lumber and Hardware in Columbus and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Johnnie and Annie Schuette and John and Christina Gundelach; and niece, Marilyn Gundelach. She is survived by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia and Thomas Wine and Virginia and Mark Cowart of Columbus; brothers and sister-in-law, Edwin J. Gundelach Jr., Gordy and Charlette Gundelach and Brian Gundelach of Columbus; aunts, Georgie Ann Maertz and Mildred Skutca of Mentz; nieces, Chrissy Fleming and husband Matt and Meaghan Gundelach; nephews, Derrick Gundelach, Matt Gundelach, Michael Sizemore and Elliott Gundelach; great-niece, McKinsey Sizemore; great nephews, Damion Gundelach and Alec Wilburn; special boys, Sypher and Cyris Young; and best friends, Rick, Rebecca, Whitney and Marley Mayo. Funeral services were scheduled Monday, June 21 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Columbus with the Rev. Heath Abel officiating. Interment followed at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Columbus. Pallbearers were Rick Mayo, David Lowery, Jodie Ripper, Gary Phelps, Mike Behrens, Ben Ybarra, Kevin Thompson, Paul Collins and Bruno Burris. Honorary pallbearers were her cousins, Roger Pilsner, David Pilsner, Michael Maertz, Jeff Maertz, Russell Maertz, Larry, Kenny and David Venghaus and Steven and Jimmy Skutca; and friends, Roy Wavra, Kelly Wilburn, Gary Weaver and all employees of AL&M.
