Russell had developed pancreatic cancer in late 2009 and underwent surgery in December of 2009. The surgery was successful in removing the effected tissue, underwent mild kemo and found to be making a full recovery! But unfortunately other health problems relating to the cancer arose and Russell was hospitalized and given sedation to help him sleep more comfortable and as a result slipped into a coma and passed away a day later. Russell's funeral service was June 8, 2010 under Morrison Funeral Home of Dumas and barial was at North Lawn Cemetery. |
