About Clifford Duane Keathley
(1969 - 2012)
.
Clifford Duane Keathley, 43, passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012. Memorial service: 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at The Hills Church of Christ, 6300 NE Loop 820, North Richland Hills. Cliff was born April 17, 1969, in Wyandotte, Mich., the son of Cliff and Donna M. Hedge Keathley. At 18 months, his family moved and settled in Haltom City. He attended Birdville schools and graduated from Haltom High School in 1987. On Aug. 16, 1995, he married Heather Ann Thompson and made their home in the very house that he grew up in. Cliff furthered his education at the University of North Texas, where he graduated in 1997. Cliff began his career in finance but found it unfulfilling. While looking for another career, he substituted in the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD where he found his passion, teaching science. Although he enjoyed time with elementary and high school students, he found middle school to be the place where he felt most at home. Cliff became a sixth-grade science teacher at Ed Willkie Middle School and looked forward to teaching every day. His passion, care and love earned him Teacher of the Year for two years in a row. Survivors: Wife, Heather; son, Jacob; mother, Donna; sister, Kimberly Keathley, both of North Richland Hills; nephew, Brandon Keathley; in-laws, Sam and Belia Thompson of Saginaw and Bob and Ann Caldcleugh of Waxahachie; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
