| About | Christopher Ryan Bruno, age 20, of rural Northfield died April 6, 2003, at his familys home. Christopher Ryan Bruno was born March 23, 1983, to Bobby and Susan (Richardson) Bruno in Beaumont, Texas. His first years were spent in Beaumont where he began school before moving with his family to Katy, Texas. He spent most of his childhood in Katy attending grades three through 11. His senior year of high school was completed at the Seaborne Challenge Corps in Galveston, Texas, where he graduated with honors in 2000. An essay he penned while at Seaborne won him a trip to Washington, D.C., and was published in the Library of Congress. He then moved to Minnesota. He enjoyed many things in life, especially music. He learned to play the guitar at about the age of 10 and had a keen interest in music his whole life. He also loved to skateboard with his friends while listening to music. He was an avid reader and also loved to watch movies. His immediate plans were to join the U.S. Navy. Bruno is survived by his mother, Susan (Chuck) Mohelsky of rural Northfield; father, Bobby Bruno, of Beaumont, Texas; two brothers, Ross and Jake Bruno, both of Northfield; great-grandfather, A. W. Raske of Pasadena, Texas; grandparents, Garland and Idalue Richardson of Van Vleck, Texas, Robert Bruno of Beaumont, Texas, Charles Mohelsky of Kettle River, and Alice Devlin of St. Paul; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Joan Bruno. Services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Northfield Evangelical Free Church, the Rev. Derrick Skoglund officiating. Interment was at Oaklawn Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ross Bruno, Jacob Bruno, Chuck Mohelsky, Cody Towner, Nathan Brown, and Justin Walker.
