Janet Lynn Wade Meredith passed away October 20, 2011. Born May 14, 1946, to Mary Sinclair Wade & Samuel Wade. She married Thomas R. Meredith in Feb 1980, Aspen CO. Tom died in 1992. Jan grew up in Longview, graduated from LHS 1964 & attended Kilgore College. Worked at Texas Eastman for 13 years & and then worked in real estate sales. Jan & her husband, Tom, were members of Trinity Episcopal Church. A beautiful, smart, & energetic woman, Jan loved to read, travel & play Mexican Train with her friends. She created beauty in her home & yard, & she took great pleasure in her surroundings. Jan was fearless & completely tenacious in her loyalty to friends & family,& she showed those around her how to enjoy every day to the fullest. Her bright smile, quick wit & generous spirit will be terribly missed by those who loved her. Jan was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Christian Pyles; grandson, Blake Thomas Kilgore; grandparents, Mr/Mrs. J.W. Sinclair; uncles, Alfred Sinclair & Boyd Sinclair; aunt, Modene Sinclair. Those left to cherish her memory are her loving companion & friend, Jack Ward; sister, Sue (Wyley) Biggs; niece, Traci (Neal) Fussell; nephew, Stephen Hestand; great-niece, Keeli Pyles; twin great-nieces, Addison & Elise Fussell; great-niece, Ayla Hestand; great-nephew, Logan Hestand; aunt, Bennie Sinclair; stepdaughter, Laura (Dr. Brian) Kilgore; & grandsons, Brent Coleman Kilgore, Jeffrey Marshall Kilgore & Russell Wade Kilgore. A memorial service celebrating Jan's life was held Oct 22, 2011, Trinity Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Shanna Neff & the Rev. Mike Maxwell officiating. Interment Mon, Oct 24, 2011, Oak Wood Cemetery, Waco TX, where Jan will be buried next to her beloved Tom. |
