About | Carl graduated Mary Carroll High in 1968. Carl served in the United States Army as a CW3 and a helicopter pilot, from 1969 until his retirement in 1989. His tour of duties included Korea, Germany, Vietnam and Panama. Carl loved working with wood and fixing cars, he was an excellent mechanic. Carl loved to fly; his passion for flying took him to several different companies, whom he flew for. His life was taken in a helicopter crash. He is survived by his ex-wife and mother of our children, Anita Goldie Olson Amos. Survived by his current wife, Anne Kester Amos; his mother, Hazel Amos; children, Shannon Amos Bowen (John) and Ryan Amos. He has two grandchildren, Matthew and Allyson Bowen, who he cherished. Visitation was Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A graveside service was held Friday, October 12, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
