| About | Georgia R. McAlpin, age 66 of Beaumont, Texas died Sunday, January 18, 2015, after a long illness, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. She was born on December 16, 1948 to Johnnie Fain and Joe Romero in Houston, Texas. She graduated from Milby High School in Houston and thereafter graduated from Sacred Heart University in San Antonio, Texas with a degree in spiritual direction. Georgia was an avid bowler until her illness made bowling impossible. She still supported her husband in his bowling activities and assisted as a youth coach at Crossroads Bowling Lanes. Georgia is survived by her husband, Jerry McAlpin and son, Joe Reynolds and friend, Samantha McKnight of Spring, Texas. |
| Events | A Christian Vigil for Mrs. Georgia will be at 5pm with a gathering of her family and friends to follow until 7pm Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2pm Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica, 700 Jefferson, Beaumont, Texas. Interment to follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery in Beaumont, Texas. |
