About | “I was privileged to know my sister, CAROLYN WARREN, for 22 short years.” David Warren, Carolyn’s brother went on to tell us, “She passed away September, 1968. Having Carolyn as my “big sister” was wonderful…..she was always “there” for me. I remember Carolyn as being unique and special when compared to all the other girls I knew. To describe Carolyn as being “Head Strong” is probably an understatement. She certainly knew what she wanted in life and had a plan to get there! She was also definitely her own boss. (And, my boss as well!) An unforgettable family history moment occurred when I was little. I was buggin’ Carolyn about something…irritating her...as little brothers do...so she shoved me in the closet, locked it and left! Funny, I can’t remember who let me out but I definitely remember that she was not going to put up with me aggravating the tar out of her! Carolyn dealt with life ‘head on’. I liked that about her! She loved life and even loved school. She had so many, many friends. She was a happy, creative and loving person and enjoyed being with her family and friends. The one thing I will always remember is how so many of her friends were ‘there’ for Carolyn when she needed you all the most! A cool thing has happened as the years have gone by......I have begun to see Carolyn in the attitudes and ways of my two daughters and son. Without knowing it, they will say something or turn and look at me and suddenly, there she is.....still very much a part of my life. That’s a good thing!” |
