About | CHARLES DAVID WOODALL passed away in Dallas, TX in January of 1967. He was married to Jeanette Vallie (Class of 64) and they have twin boys, Sean and Donald. His son Donald died in August of 1992. They also have 2 grandchildren. Charles was also survived by his Mother, Nona Owens, four sisters, Linda, Jamie, Kristy and Teresa, and three brothers, Gary, Glenn and Michael. Charley loved music and loved to dance. No one knew it was a dream of his to dance with a Broadway show in New York. His work was very important to him and he was working on opening a new chain of grocery stores that he would be in charge of shortly before his death. Janie White Michalik told us that “Charlie was a great friend to everyone that knew him. No matter where you saw Charlie, he was smiling and happy. Charlie always tried to make others feel good about themselves and I know he did that for me every time I saw him which was either at school or Furr's Grocery where he worked after school each day.” Jeanette remembers Charlie.....“Something wonderful about him was his love for me. The time was too short and he never knew his boys. He did leave me with them and they have given me great joy and love. They look like their father so his legacy did live on for us. Now he has one of the boys with him and I have one with me.” |
