About | PAUL MARTINEZ put out the “old GONE FISHING sign” for the final time on July 10, 2004. He claimed on the questionnaire he returned to us before his death that fishing provided him solitude, with no interruptions. He left behind his partner, Maria, 10 children, 20 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. His first wife, Rosa Aquilera Martinez preceded him in death. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army and the Texas National Guard He loved soft music and had many artistic abilities. He especially enjoyed assembling model cars. Paul was looking forward to coming to the Class of 65 40th Reunion and we regret not being able to have him with us. If he had been able to be with us, Waylan Collier would have taken second prize in the “Most Grandchildren” category. His family loved him dearly and his life was truly blessed. |
