RICKY WOMACK, former ’65 classmate, passed away in 1988 from complications of Leukemia. He was survived by his mother, Ava, and one brother, Tommy. After he graduated from Abilene Christian University, he taught school in San Antonio for 3 years. He also taught in Japan, Germany, and at Clark Air Force Base for the Department of Defense military schools. His brother, Tommy, remembers…..“Ricky was a quiet person and was a very dedicated teacher. He was a wonderful artist and was supportive of the art programs in the schools. A short time before his death, he moved to Florida to teach in a middle school and to be close to his girlfriend. He accomplished much and was a good influence on many young lives.” |
