| About | RUFUS MARTINEZ died after a short illness on August 21, 1972, at his home in California. He and his wife, Nell Guerrero, had been married 7 years at the time of his death. They have two daughters, Tammy Ann and Caroline. They also have six grandchildren, Xavier, Zachery, Randi, Miranda Brigette, and Joanna. Rufus was very supportive of his family and was always very proud of his girls. He would have taken great joy in spoiling his grandchildren. Other surviving family members are 2 brothers, Mike and Pete and a sister, Vicky Lujan. His brother, Rudy, preceded him in death. Nell shared the following memories of Rufus…“ He owned a car body shop and he was very talented in that area. His hobbies included rebuilding racing cars and motorcycles. He had a kind heart and was frequently helping other people who were less fortunate. Rufus constantly used his wit and sense of humor to make people laugh. He made me laugh and we all loved him dearly. Thank you for remembering Rufus.” |
