| About | David Paul Holtkamp, age 59, of Sykesville, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at home. He was born in Texas to the late Frederick Henry Holtkamp and Betty Jo Tolan Holtkamp. He married his best friend, Tammy Spring Holtkamp, on February 7, 1988. Dave graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in computer science and economics. He was a valued employee of SAP/SYBASE for over 17 years. Dave was a southern gentleman. He loved his cowboy boots, was a avid reader, coin collector (numismatist) and an excellent cook. Spoiling his dogs was his favorite pastime. Dave was always able to see the big picture and never worried about the little things; he knew everything would work out. We will miss his smiling face and great sense of humor. In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Lorraine and Warren Wilson, father-in-law Allen R. Spring, much-loved niece Laurelen Spring and many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother Andy Holtkamp and mother-in-law Joan Ann Spring. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4pm on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a service will follow at 4pm. Interment will be private. |
