| About | It is with deep sorrow that we inform you that former Woodway Elementary Principal Mike Cooper passed away yesterday. His wife, Cheryl, is our Midway Middle School Librarian. Please join us in prayer and sympathy for Cheryl and her family. Mr. Cooper spent his career at Midway ISD where was an elementary physical education teacher, middle school girls’ coach, a middle school assistant principal and principal, and then finally a principal at Woodway Elementary for 20 years before retiring in 2011. The Cooper family has designated the Midway Education Foundation as one of the beneficiaries of memorial gifts.
