| About | Steve Moon, 61, of Lorena passed away October 26, 2016. Services will be held Saturday, October 29 at 10 am at OakCrest Funeral Home with burial to follow at Stanford Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, October 28 from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Steve was born August 5, 1955 and grew up in Robinson. Upon graduation from Robinson High School, he married the love of his life, Brenda Lane. He was employed at General Tire from 1976 to 1986. Steve completed the Aviation Program at TSTI and began his career at what is now L-3 Communications, where he has been employed for more than 27 years as an aircraft inspector. Steve enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren. He was the most amazing ‘Papa’ who would do anything for his babies. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Brenda; son, Dustin and wife, Carrie of Severn, MD; daughter, Ashley Posey and husband, Andy of Lorena; four grandchildren, Maicee, Allison, Ethan, and Owen; brother, Mark and wife, Ramona of Robinson; sisters, Karen Bourque and husband, Raymond of Centerville and Cindy Kruger of husband, Mengel of Wisconsin; as well as several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dustin Moon, Rusty Lane, Paul Gorgas, Mark Moon, Jerry Bailey, and Junior Gammons. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Providence Hospice. |
