About | EL PASO - Heather "Beth" Gibson Hinojos died Tuesday, April 1, 2008. Rosary was said at 7 p.m. Thursday in Mount Carmel Funeral Home. Mass will be celebrated at 10:15 a.m. today in St. Pius X Catholic Church with the Rev. Joe Molina as celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Beth was born and raised in Amarillo, where she attended Tascosa High School and graduated from West Texas A & M University. She received a master's of education from New Mexico State University. Beth worked for the El Paso, Ysleta and Clint independent school districts. She was a devoted Catholic and highly involved in the young adult ministry. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Mae Heiser and Minnie and Earl Gibson; and a brother; Phillip O'Connor. Survivors include her loving husband of eight years, Tito Eduardo Hinojos; her father, Jerry Gibson and wife Earlene; her mother, Irene O'Connor and husband Raymond O'Connor; four brothers, Ray, Tom, James and Robert O'Connor; five sisters, Kathy Sievek, Christine Stickrod, Erin O'Connor, Gay Helmly and Kim Price; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
