| About | Mrs. Laura Washburn Connell, 60 KERRVILLE - Laura Eve Washburn Connell of Ingram, TX passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012 in Peterson Regional Medical Center of a sudden heart attack at the age of 60 years and 11 months. Laura was born August 17, 1951 to Mack Washburn and Ruth Mays in Hearne, Texas. She united in marriage with John M. Connell on February 7, 1976. Upon graduating high school, Laura had various office manager positions. Her favorite hobbies included flower gardening, dancing, camping, water skiing, landscaping and "Facebook Farmville." She was the most independent and unselfish person. Laura will be remembered for her unconditional love for her family and friends. Laura is survived by her husband, John M. Connell; her mother, Ruth Mays of Kingsland; her two daughters and spouses, Daisy and James Hansen of San Antonio and Christi and Jason Fowler of Ingram; five grandchildren, Nathan, Grady and Savannah Phillips of Pleasanton, James Fowler of Kerrville, and Cheyenne Fowler of Ingram; one sister and spouse, Betsy and David Brandt of Ingram; two brothers and spouse, Billy and Yvonne Washburn of Kempner and Shannon Washburn of Kerrville; five brother-in-laws and spouses, Maurice Connell, Tommy Connell and Pat Bailey, Pat and Diana Connell, Mike Connell, Kyle and Misty Connell; seven sister-in-laws and spouses, Tammy and John Samford, Melissa and David Bell, Amy and Billy Head, Leann and Kenneth McGehee, Deborah Beasley, Cheryl Connell, and Cheri Connell-Baxter; also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and a host of many loving friends and neighbors. She is preceded in death by her father, Mack Washburn; one brother, Tony Washburn; two brother-in-laws, Bobby Connell, Sr. and Tony Connell; father-in-law, Whitney Connell and mother-in-law, Norma Morgan. A visitation and time for the family to receive friends and neighbors will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 from 5 - 7 PM at Kerrville Funeral Home, 1221 Junction Highway, Kerrville, TX. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 10 AM in the Main Chapel of Kerrville Funeral Home with the Rev. Faye E. Schott officiating. Interment will follow at Nichols Cemetery.
