Kerrville – Robert Hal Outlaw Morriss, III, 57, passed from this life on Tuesday morning, August 5, 2008 at a local hospital. Born in Kerrville on July 29, 1951, he was the son of Robert Hal Morriss II and Jean (Fine) Morriss. He served in the Air Force Reserve. He retired from the VA Medical Center in Kerrville in March of 2008 as a contracting officer. On May 8, 1971, he married Sylvia Juarez in Kerrville and they celebrated their 37th anniversary this year. He is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia (Juarez) Morriss of Kerrville; a son Bobby Morriss of Kerrville; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Christina and David Cella of Philadelphia, PA and Missy and Lloyd Rael of San Antonio, TX; his six cherished grandchildren, granddaughter Raegan Morriss and grandson Hunter Morriss both of Kerrville, granddaughters Amanda and Kambry Rael both of San Antonio, TX, granddaughter Samantha Cella and grandson Brandon Cella both of Philadelphia, PA; a brother, Kelley Morriss of Kerrville; a sister Joan Craft of Kerrville and special family members, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Reyes of Kerrville. He is also survived by a host of family and friends. Mr. Morriss had 2 other great loves of his life, spoiling his grandchildren and hunting. Per Hal’s request, there will be no services. In lieu of floral arrangements, monetary donations in Hal’s name may be made to the cancer foundation of one’s choice. |
