Robert Mickelson 1953 ~ 2006 Beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Robert Scott Mickelson, died July 28, 2006 at LDS Hospital. He was born May 26, 1953 in Salt Lake City, UT to Donald and Lucille Lougee Mickelson. He grew up in Farmington, Utah where he had many friends and loved ones. He graduated with honors from Davis High and went on to graduate Cum Laude from Weber State College with a degree in communications/journalism. While attending Weber State, Robert served as the sports editor for the school newspaper. At the time of his death, Robert had been employed as a journalist for the Davis County Clipper. Robert was not only a good journalist, but was an excellent writer all-around. Robert enjoyed traveling and being in the out of doors. He had a great sense of humor and a compassionate heart for all. He was a member of the LDS Church and had a testimony of Jesus Christ. He is survived by his loving parents, Don and Lucille; sisters, Anne and Carol Mickelson; and two nephews, Christopher (Briana) Cousins and Stephen (Kim) Cousins; many friends, extended family, and associates. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at the Murray Winchester Ward building, 6300 South 700 West, Murray, Utah. Friends and family may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 1st at Russon Brothers Farmington Mortuary, 1941 North Main (across from Cherry Hill) and again 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the church prior to the services.
