About | July 26, 1956 ~ November 20, 2014 Arthur Valentine Kluzek of Salt Lake died November 20, 2014 suddenly and unexpectedly of an aneurism, he was 58 years old. Born July 26, 1956 to John Robert Kluzek and Harriet Arlene Kluzek, he was the oldest of five sons. Growing up, he spent his time with his brothers camping, hunting and fishing in the spectacular outdoors of Utah. He joined the Army fresh out of high school and served in Aberdeen, Maryland and was honorably discharged in 1977. He attended Weber State College in Ogden and earned his Bachelor's Cum Laude in Chemistry in 1981. He worked for Easton Aluminum before being hired at Varian Medical System in 1989 where he was a dedicated worker and worked for 25 years (until the time of his passing). He was a great lover of the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and camping were some of his favorite activities. He built model tanks and aircraft with great detail and attended every air show he could. He took many photographs and shared his hobby with his young nieces. He enjoyed archery and went bow hunting. He was very dedicated to his church (the former Trinity Lutheran Church in Layton and served in various positions as Elder and Vice President, and currently, Cross of Christ Lutheran Church in Bountiful), his family, and his charity work with World Concern, a charity that helps those in extreme poverty improve their lives. In January of 1997 he went on a mission trip with World Concern to Africa, a trip that he treasured for the rest of his life. He is survived by four brothers: Nathan and Lori Kluzek, their five children and one grandchild of Syracuse, UT; Mark and Donna Kluzek and their three children of Sandia Park, NM; Paul and Kathy Kluzek and their two children of Fort Clark Springs, TX; and Erik and Vicki Kluzek and their three children of Longmont, CO.
