About | March 16, 1951 ~ July 14, 2014 Our loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, Shirley Sue Henry, 63, passed away July 14, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She contracted liver cancer in 2011,finally succumbing after a valiant struggle. She was born March 16, 1951 to Rolland and Wanda Jensen Anderson in Ogden, Utah. She graduated from Ogden High School in 1969. She married Brian Henry July 27, 1979 in Elko, NV. They renewed their wedding vows July 27, 1999 at Oak Hills Wedding Center in Layton, UT. She was employed at D.D.O. and was the owner/operator of All Seasons Florists for nine years. For a brief time she was owner/operator of the Oaks Hills Wedding Center. She was an amazing decorator, avid reader, professional shopper, and enjoyed going to dinner with Brian. She especially enjoyed working in her garden. She dedicated her life to her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She was a breast cancer survivor since 2009. A special thanks to Vincent Hansen's office and Huntsman Cancer Center, McKay Dee Hospital and IHC Hospice. Shirley is survived by her sweetheart, Brian, two daughters; Lisa Cordova Bryant, Lesley Cordova Iverson, sons-in law, Troy Bryant. Richard Iverson; grandchildren Briann Thurston, Holden Iverson, Schafer Iverson, Seth Bryant, Liam Bryant, Ryker Iverson; great- grandson Jayden Evans; step-children Kim Whaley, Kari Shoemaker, and Brian James Henry; brother Jim Anderson; sister-in-law Karen Anderson; aunt Beth Hayes; and all her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836-36th St., Ogden, UT. |
