| About | Carolyn Lee Simmons, 67, of 5516 North Valley Pike, Harrisonburg, died Friday, March 7, 2008, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg. Ms. Simmons was born March 26, 1940, in Upper Tract, W.Va., and was a daughter of the late Forrest Roscoe and Anna Lee Kile Simmons. She worked for Peoples Life Insurance Company for over 40 years and later worked at James Madison University. She sold Avon products and was a member of the Pilot Club of Harrisonburg and the Shekhinah Tabernacle. She is survived by a sister, Treva Orebaugh, and a brother, William R. Simmons, both of Timberville; two nieces and one nephew. The Revs. Sam Sponaugle and Hiji Yu will conduct the funeral 3:30 p.m. Tuesday at McMullen Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Burial will follow at Rader Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-7 this evening at the funeral home. |
