About | Benjamin Franklin Weaver, Jr., 61, affectionately known as “Frankie” or “Ben”, of 10103 Vinco Circle, Stony Creek, VA, entered into eternal on Sunday, January 31, 2021, at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Dinwiddie County and was born February 21, 1959, to the late Benjamin F. Weaver, Sr. and Ethel Queen Weaver. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter; Christy Weaver, and granddaughter; Syteria Sky Weaver. Benjamin confessed Christ at an early age and became a member of the Center Star Baptist Church, Dinwiddie, VA. He graduated from Dinwiddie County High School with the Class of 1977. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army. Ben returned to Virginia and was employed as a truck driver, a CNA, a US Postal worker, and drove a bus on the Base at Fort Lee transporting Army troops, to name a few. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, and was the family DJ along with his brothers Edward and Richard, fishing and watching wrestling with his brother, Kenny, wife Susie, and Mrs. Anna Snyder. Ben was the life of all family gatherings! Most of all, Ben loved spending time with his grandchildren. Benjamin leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife; Melissa Weaver, of Stony Creek, VA, three children; Benjamin Onte’ Weaver (Tawanda), of Jarratt, VA; Norleta Hines (Finesse) and MelQuan Harris, of Stony Creek, VA, three sisters; Carol Robinson, Sharon Griffin (Roger), both of Dinwiddie, VA and Patricia Austin, DeWitt, VA; five brothers; Kenneth Weaver (Susie) of Disputanta, VA, Edward Weaver (Leah) of Hopewell, VA, Richard Weaver (Kendra), Dwayne Austin (Robin), all of Dinwiddie, VA, and Darryl Austin of DeWitt, VA; six grandchildren, Ja’Mont, Coze’t, Jonte’, Kaden, Fayvin and Jolaysha. Aunts; Linda Pegram (John) and Maggie Weaver; all of DeWitt, VA, Uncles; James Queen (Ruth) of DeWitt, VA, and Deacon William Gee, of Ford, VA; great Aunt, Catherine Gilliam, of DeWitt, VA and devoted cousin, Janice Easter, of Dolphins, VA; nieces, Arquetta, Toni, Victoria, Kenasia and Kaylyn; nephews, Darius, Shawn, Devon, Joshua, William, James, and Kendrick; great-nephews, Darius, Jr., and Shawn, Jr., devoted friends; Mrs. Anna Snyder, Mack Bailey, Calvin Bailey, and Larry Harris; and a host of cousins, relatives, and friends too numerous to name. A graveside service will be held at the Weaver Family Cemetery at Wheelers Pond Road and Patillo Road, DeWitt, VA, on Saturday, February 6, 2021, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Michael Vickey, Officiating. A public viewing will be Friday, February 5, 2021, from 12 noon to 7:00 p.m. at the Petersburg Chapel of the Joseph M. Johnson and Son Funeral Home. |
