About | Born September 3, 1952 in Potsdam, NY, she was the daughter of Herbert and Lorraine Mosher Caskinette. She attended school in St. Regis Falls and Indian River Central School. Connie was a Licensed Cosmetologist, after raising her children she worked in the office at the Salvation Army. She then turned her love of ceramics into a business and opened her own shop in Evans Mills, NY. After attending Jefferson-Lewis BOCES, she obtained certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse, working for Dr. Vanier, Carthage, NY, Guthrie Clinic, Fort Drum, NY, and Carthage Area Hospital. She married Carl M. Chamberlain November 24, 1972 in Evans Mills, NY. The couple lived in Evans Mills, NY, before moving to Philadelphia, NY. A prior marriage to Donald Phillips ended in divorce. Connie enjoyed ceramics, going to craft fairs with her granddaughter, shopping, animal videos (The Asher House), her dogs, Rylee and Ollie, bird watching and spending time with her family. She was a lifetime member of the first national online fibromyalgia support group. Survivors include her husband of 51-years, Carl; three children, daughter, Serena Parkinson and companion, David Lussier, Calcium, NY, daughter and son-in-law, Janaé and James LaTurner, St. Cloud, FL, and a son, Bryan Chamberlain, Evans Mills, NY; a granddaughter, Shauna Parkinson, Baldwinsville, NY; nieces, nephews and cousins. Her parents and her brother, Richard “Rick” Caskinette passed away previously. |
Events | A Celebration of Life will be 1-4 pm, Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the Evans Mills Fire Dept., 8615 LeRay Street, Evans Mills, NY 13637. Private burial will be in Sanford Corners Cemetery, Calcium, NY, at a later date.
