About | January 3, 1952 - June 22, 2017 Obituary Andrew "Andy" Felix, passed away on June 22, 2017, after a long battle with COPD and Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Andy was born January 3, 1952. Andy never gave up. Andy was never a quitter. Andy is survived by his mother, Ann L. Felix, a nephew and a niece. Andy was the first to start a one-man taxi company in 1983. He was an entrepreneur with a good heart. He was always willing to help those that help themselves. He had a strong sense of humor. Sometimes a nice guy, sometimes not. Andy loved the Yankees, Redskins, riding his Harley, drinking beer, Mary Jane, betting on the horses, Beatles, guns, pretty women, hotdogs and pizza in that order. He was proud of his nephew, Robert Andrew Felix and his niece, Shelley Felix. Andy was predeceased by his brother, Robert and sister, Marcelle. Andy crossed most things off his bucket list except going to Little League World Series and a Kentucky Derby. Andy never married nor had children. He considered his taxi drivers as his children. Andy had many good friends and neighbors in life. Too many to mention--you know who you are! Andy was an 81 supporter. Andy's only regret was he wished he had never picked up a cigarette. After the Memorial Services, the Beer is on ME! *Obituary written by Andy Felix about a year before his death. His family and friends wanted everyone to know they will miss Andy Felix. Andy has expressed that he wanted lots of flowers or consider a donation to American Lung Association in his name to help others stop smoking.
