About | Birth: May 16, 1983 Waynesboro Waynesboro City Virginia, USA Death: Aug. 18, 2005 Arlington Arlington County Virginia, USA ARLINGTON – Stephen Alexander Ayers, 22, of Arlington, died unexpectedly Thursday (Aug. 18, 2005) in Arlington. He was born May 16, 1983, in Waynesboro, the son of Stephen and Linda Ayers of Waynesboro. Stephen was a very active member of Second Presbyterian Church, where he enjoyed working with the youth and the summer mission trips. He graduated, with honors, from James Madison University in May 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science and technical writing. He was an avid tennis player and enjoyed spending time with his many friends and his family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Voncille Hoover. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Laura Ayers of Virginia Beach, Mary Beth Thompson and her husband, Nolan, of Staunton, Joanna Vander Yacht and her husband, Cory, of Hinesville, Ga., Allison Ayers and Debra Ayers, both of Waynesboro; his nieces and nephews, Kayla Ayers, Jaimie Wilfong, Dylan Wilfong and Justin Wilfong, all of Virginia Beach, Sage Thompson and Willow Thompson, both of Staunton; his paternal grandparents, Roy and Sis Ayers of Stuarts Draft; his paternal grandmother, Mary Helen Ayers of Waynesboro; his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Shirley Hoover of Stuarts Draft; his aunt and uncle, Cynthia and Tom Huggins and his cousins, Adam Patterson, Shawn Patterson and Sabrina Huggins all of Mountain Home, Idaho. |
