| About | Anita Stilwell Minnix, 60, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 14, 2013. She was an avid UVA fan and enjoyed watching college sports. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing. She was preceded in death by her mother, Violet Stilwell. She is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Randy Minnix; her children, Angela Minnix, Paul Minnix and wife, Jessica; her father, Dewey Quintin Stilwell; mother-in-law, Garnet (Peanut) Minnix; brother, Virgil Stilwell and wife, Linda; sisters, Deborah Crouch and friend, Richard, Brenda Thomas and husband, Jay; several nieces and one nephew. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the National MS Society, Blue Ridge Chapter, 1020 Carrington Place, Charlottesville, Va. 22901, phone 434-971-8010. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Oakey's North Chapel, with the Rev. Darryl G. Crim officiating. The interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be receiving friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Oakey's North Chapel. |
