| About | Ann Marie Vaught, 68, of Vinton, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 7, 2024. She is finally free of the pain and struggles she endured for many years, never complaining. Ann was a faithful, active member of Vinton Wesleyan Church for most of her life. Ann was a hairdresser for over 40 years, all with East End Beauty Salon. She was a skilled crafter, excelling at almost anything she attempted. She was the unofficial family photographer for the Gordon family. She chronicled all the family get togethers in pictures and presented family members with photo calendars and other photo memories of these events. She was preceded in death by her parents, James B. Vaught and Mary G. Vaught, and her brothers, Curtis W. Vaught and Kenneth R. Vaught. She is survived by her uncle and aunt, Ed and Deanna Gordon, and her cousins, Judy Gordon, Terry Gordon (Vickie), Wesley Gordon (Sheri), Happy Parker, Susan Quesenberry (Mike), David Wheeler (Renee), and Gayla Thomas. Ann was a friend to many, especially her church family. She is also survived by dear friends Janice Minnix, Carolyn Waldron, Patresia Mossor, and Shay Hicks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vinton Wesleyan Church. A celebration of Ann’s life will be held on June 30, 2024 at 2:00 at Vinton Wesleyan Church. |
