About | Arlan Lee St.Clair, 48, Roanoke, saw the Light and followed his Lord and Saviour home on Sunday, August 5, 2007. He was a member of Grandin Court Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and a long time children's Sunday School teacher. He was a L.A.N. Administrator with Kroger Company with 26 years service. He was a graduate of William Byrd High School and Roanoke College and was a loving and devoted husband and father who never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Audrey St.Clair; a son, Lucas St.Clair; his in laws, Lewis and Violet Brown; and a brother-in-law, Rickie Allen. Surviving are his wife of 26 years, Cynthia B. St.Clair; a daughter, Erin and her husband, David Glassbrenner; a son, Nathan St.Clair; a brother and sister-in-law, Forrest (Ed) and his wife, Debbie Brown; a brother and sister-in-law, Niel and Kay St.Clair and their children, Jessica and Rachel; a sister, Marcia Allen and her son, T.J. Wells and his fiancâÁ Mandy Crowgey; and a number of other relatives and good friends. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2007 with the Rev. Kevin Meadows, the Rev. Robert M. Hamner, and the Rev. Melanie K. Storie officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to the American Heart Association or the Building Fund of Grandin Court Baptist Church and will receive friends after 12 Noon on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 982-2221.
