About | Longtime Salmon Creek area resident, Michael Molyneux passed away at his home on October 21, 2010. Mike was born in San Bernadino, CA on April 21, 1950 to Tom and Veone Molyneux. He was a graduate of Columbia River High School and attended Clark College. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam Era in the U.S. Army, returning home with severe leg injuries. Mike worked as a dog trainer/groomer and a groundskeeper most recently at Washington State University-Vancouver Campus until his retirement. Mike was survived by his daughters, Kelly and Michele Molyneux of Vancouver; his grandchildren, Riley McAlpine, Ashleigh Albrich, Maxwell and Cole Schultz; a sister, Lola Vaughn of Vancouver; and brothers, Tommy Molyneux of Yuma, AZ and Steven Molyneux of Battle Ground; and longtime friend and former wife, Denice McCarley of Vancouver; plus numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Karen Ruby Molyneux; his infant son, JJ Molyneux; his brother-in-law, William Vaughn; his niece, Christine Daniels; and his great-nephew, Benjamin Stein. Mike's greatest joys were his daughters and his grandchildren. He also enjoyed camping, working with dogs and working on cars. He was always willing to give someone a hand and will be greatly missed. |
