Yakima Herald-Republic (WA) - Wednesday, October 19, 2005 GRANTS PASS, OR - Bob Sturgeon, 40, of Williams, Oregon, died Sept. 28, 2005, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born Nov. 18, 1964, in Ephrata, WA. The family moved to Yakima in 1972, where Bob attended St. Paul's, Wilson and Eisenhower schools. He graduated from Central Washington University and spent many years working as a counselor for teenagers and adults. He was currently working with Josephine County Mental Health in Grants Pass, OR. Aside from backpacking, kayaking, scuba diving, river rafting, horseback riding and nature conservation, he was an avid student of the Martial Arts. All of his life, Bob had a special sense of spirituality. He is survived by his loving wife and soul-mate, Mona Staehr, whom he married in Copenhagen, Denmark in 1995; his parents, Bill and Sue Sturgeon, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; sisters: Roxy Sturgeon of Los Angeles, and Carly Boutelle of Spokane; brothers: Ben of Coeur d'Alene, and Bucky (Maria) of Spokane; nephew, Thor Boutelle; nieces; Promise Boutelle, Isabella and Violet Sturgeon, as well as his treasured in-laws in Copenhagen. We will all miss him and his special way of putting humor into our everyday lives. A Memorial Service was held at Bob and Mona's farm in Williams, Oregon. |
