About | Our beautiful Camille Jensen Oliveri, went to heaven on March 15th, with her family by her side, less than 3 months after an aggressive cancer diagnosis. Camille was born December 17, 1957, in Wenatchee, WA, to Gordon and Dorothy Jensen. She spent most of her childhood and young adult years in Yakima, WA. She was a cheerleader at Franklin Jr. High, and Eisenhower High School, and gathered many close friends, everywhere she went. Dancing ballet and loving horses were some of her favorite things, as well as being an exceptional gifted artist! Many of her friends enjoyed her annual Christmas cards, all original, by hand! Camille met the love of her life, Tony Oliveri, on a vacation to San Francisco, to stay with relatives, in August 1973, they were both 15 years old! They both experienced the Italian Thunderbolt, and always kept in close contact through the years. Camille spent many years, working for Konica Business Machines working a very large territory. In 1987, Camille and Tony reunited, she moved to California, where they were married, in 1990. She enjoyed her life in CA, but always had a yearning to return home, to Yakima. They moved back in 2019, and we had 4 1/2 years of extreme closeness. Camille was in pain most of that time, after having 5 hip, 2 neck and 2 back surgeries, but she always made the best of her situations. Tony, Hilary and Anna-Lisa were privileged to take good care of her at home, laughing, crying, and reminiscing! Camille is survived by her husband of 34 years, Tony Oliveri, her sisters, Anna-Lisa Jensen Stringer (James), and Hilary Jensen Baxter, of Shoreline, WA, niece Rachael Stringer, and nephews, William Stringer and Jacobs Baxter. Camille was preceded in death, by her parents Gordon Jensen and Dorothy Fountain Jensen. There will not be a Memorial service at this time, as Camille would never have that discussion, as she continually thought she was going to get better! Possibly a picnic in Franklin Park this summer. In lieu of flowers, any donations could be sent to the Wild Horse Sanctuary, The Sierra Club, or to her precious "Redwoods"! |
