Graduation Year Class of 1972
Date of Birth Dec 18, 1953
Date of Passing Feb 10, 2026
About Vista, CA. - Crystal Kay Disotell passed away peacefully at home in Vista, California, on February 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on December 18, 1953, in Yakima, Washington, to Harold and Sarah Hunter. Raised in Yakima, Crystal graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1972 and went on to earn her degree at Washington State University in 1977. It was during her college years that she met her husband, Rob Disotell, beginning a partnership that would span nearly five decades.

Crystal and Rob were married in Yakima in 1977 and built a life grounded in devotion, hard work, and deep family ties. Together, they raised four wonderful and talented children. Over the years, their journey took them through Seattle, Everett, Arlington, and San Diego before they returned to Crystal's hometown of Yakima to retire in 2021. In 2025, they relocated to Vista, California, to be closer to their children and grandchildren -- a move that brought her great joy.

Crystal was the heart of her family -- a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, entrepreneur, and loyal friend. She gave generously of herself and made everyone around her feel cared for and supported. Her kindness was steady and sincere, her loyalty unwavering, and her presence a comfort to those fortunate enough to know her. She lived a life defined by service, compassion, and quiet generosity.

Known lovingly as "Gigi" to her grandchildren, Crystal created countless cherished memories through the thoughtful care packages she delighted in sending — each one filled with handmade dresses, toys, and creative crafts. Receiving a box from Gigi was always a highlight, a tangible expression of her love stitched and assembled by hand.

Crystal was also a talented seamstress and successful business owner for more than 35 years. She partnered with home designers to create beautiful custom soft furnishings -- window treatments, comforters, and pillows -- earning a reputation for exceptional craftsmanship and integrity. Her clients valued not only her skill and expertise but also her warmth and reliability, and many became dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Sarah Hunter. Crystal is survived by her beloved husband, Rob; her children, Jennifer, Nicole, Michael, and Andrew; her grandchildren, Mason, Audrey, Hunter, Nathan, and Eliana; her sisters, Denise Gossett and Ginger Mecca; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her legacy of love, creativity, and generosity lives on through them all.

Services for family and close friends will be held in Vista, California. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to City of Hope Cancer Center in Irvine, California, in honor of Crystal's life and memory.
