About | David Wayne Cook was born to Sonny and Ruth Cook on October 11, 1954. David graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1972. He attended YVCC in 1973 and was employed by Pyramid Orchards as a Controlled Atmosphere Tech until 2004 when he managed Minda Lanes until his retirement in 2016. David was an avid fisherman, but the sport of bowling was his true passion. David had numerous 300 games and 800 series. He was an Officer and Board Director for the Yakima Bowling Association and Central Washington USBC from 1995 until 2014. He served as President of the Washington State Bowling Association from 2002-2003 and served on many boards. David especially loved his “Senior Leagues” and Saturday Morning “Bill’s Crew” for those with special needs. David proved anyone could bowl no matter the challenge. David is survived by his wife Rononna “Nona,” mother Ruth Cook, stepchildren, Heather (Randy) Sides, Travis (Rhonda) Glenn, grandchildren Garrett and Evan Sides, Sage, Owen, and JT Glenn, in laws Ronald and Karlene Jacobs, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins from Alabama, California and special aunt from Yakima Anna Mae. David is preceded in death by his father Sonny Cook February 4, 2018. Viewing will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 4 pm to 8 pm at Langevin El Paraiso Funeral Home.
