About | NOTE: Year of graduation is a estimate + or - 1 year. Yakima Herald-Republic (WA) - Sunday, December 30, 2012 Eric McIntosh June 27, 1952 - Dec. 20, 2012 I was born Friday, June 27, 1952 to Fred and Helen McIntosh right here in Yakima, WA. My earliest memory is sitting on our front porch trying to tie my shoes and getting it right, with two bows, for the first time. My parents followed through by giving me a sister, Sandra and a brother, Ronald. I went to school at Hoover Elementary, Franklin and Wilson Junior Highs and Eisenhower High School. After high school I enlisted in the Air Force (thanks Gordon) and served in the U.S., Greece and Italy. I was discharged in May of 1974 and worked odd jobs until 1977 when I was engaged to Mary Mason. Mary and I married in 1978 and had two daughters, Tonya and Shannon who gave me grandsons Alec and Eric Jr. At the time Mary and I got married I had enlisted in the U.S. Army. While I was in the Army, I served in California and Germany. I was discharged from the Army and returned to Yakima where Mary and I lived until our divorce in 1995. I met my second wife Angela and we had two daughters, Jessica and Elizabeth. In 2002 I left Shopko where I had worked and went to Lowe's. Angela and I had divorced and I met my current wife, Erika. Erika and I got married in March of 2012. I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January of 2012. This was my second occurrence in 5 years. Retired in May 2012 with a disability and lived out my years with a big ole smile on my face. I am survived by my wife Erika, mother Helen McIntosh, siblings Sandi Ogin and Ron McIntosh; my children Tonya James, Shannon McIntosh, Jessica Golphenee and Elizabeth McIntosh, as well as two grandchildren, Alec McIntosh and Eric McIntosh Jr. |
