He attended school in Yakima and graduated from Eisenhower High School. After graduating he served in the US Army in the Vietnam war. Upon returning from service he attended YVC where he met his future wife, Nancy Beaulaurier. They were married in 1971 and enjoyed many years together. Later in life he went back to school to earn his master’s degree in Psychology and Human Resource Management and taught at the community college level. He was able to use those skills as a state probation officer as well. Gary was a man that enjoyed these interests, serving the Yakima community as a policeman for 17 years. He loved to be in the thick of it, driving race cars, flying planes and gliders, driving motorcycles, and paragliding. He was someone that was most happy being outside or being part of a competition. Gary is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nancy, brother and sister in law, Bob and Beth Mueller, sister in law, Cherie Beaulaurier, and brother and sister in law, Roger and Laura Beaulaurier, nieces and nephews, Joshua Nelson, Regina McGinnis, Ross Beaulaurier, David Mueller, Abby Beaulaurier, and Katy Beaulaurier.
