| About | Howard James Trindle was born July 10, 1946, to John M. and Beulah Trindle in Yakima, Washington. He passed away from pulmonary fibrosis on June 14, 2022. Howard was active his whole life. His aunt and uncle took him skiing at White Pass when he was five. Skiing became his lifelong passion. By age twelve, he was on the ski patrol and worked as a part-time ski instructor into his sixties. Howard was an active member of the Jeep Jockys and participated in the Wiley City Jeep mud races. As a young man, he spent six years in the Marines. He then attended and graduated from Perry Technical School in Instrumentation. Howard was a guy who could read and easily understand electrical schematics. Of Perry Trade School, he said, “They didn’t teach you the answers. They taught you how to figure out the answers.” Howard worked all his life including for the forest service and the copper smelter in Tacoma. He owned an orchard in Tieton for several years and retired from Longview Fiber as a millwright. After retirement, Howard bought a sailboat and sailed during the summers. Travels included Puget Sound to Glacier Bay, Queen Charlotte Island and points in between. Fun-loving, kind and intelligent, Howard will be missed by the many whose lives he touched. Howard married Pat Ruedi, and they had two wonderful children, Alan (Angela) Trindle, of McKinney, Texas, and Emily (K.C.) Haak, of Kennewick, Washington. He has two grandchildren, Catherine and Jaxson of Texas. Howard is survived by his wife, Susan Trindle, his children and their spouses and grandchildren. |
