About | Jack Gray Chastain, 73, passed away suddenly at his home in Wasilla, AK on Saturday, January 20, 2018. He was born on October 28, 1944 in Portland, OR to Jack V. Chastain and Helen G. Chastain. Growing up in Yakima, WA, Jack found a sincere passion for photography that continued for the rest of his lifetime. Jack was a graduate of Eisenhower High School class of 1962 in Yakima. He studied geology at the University of Montana and then served in the U.S. Navy. Jack relocated to Alaska and was employed by Alaska Airlines for over three loyal decades. Alaska gave Jack the beautiful sites needed for his passion for photography. Flickr, where he displayed his work, has over 1.8 million views and 1.6k followers. Jack is survived by his wife Jalaine, son Keith, step-children Kevin and Kris (Wasilla, AK), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
