Graduation Year | Class of 2017 |
Date of Passing | Apr 24, 2017 |
About | On Monday, April 24, 2017, our dear son, brother, and friend was senselessly and undeservingly ripped from our world while he was walking home from school. He was born in Tacoma, WA on May 9, 2002. He was blessed with a family who cared for him and shared together in the privilege of raising him into the man he was becoming. He grew up in Union Gap and was attending Eisenhower High School in the 9th grade. Kabin was a very special young man. He was intelligent and very head strong. He always made jokes and was known as the funny guy. He had the ability to make you laugh even when you didn’t want to. He stood up for himself and was hard on the outside but very sensitive on the inside. He loved camping, basketball, riding bikes, skateboarding, playing video games, and watching YouTube. What he loved the most was spending time with his brothers, his nieces and his nephews. He is lovingly survived by his mother, Suzie Smith, brothers: Derek Roberts, and Shawn (Becky) Roberts, his uncle, Lynn Frick, his aunts: Tammy Leahy, and Debbie Smith Fridley, his birth father, Denny Bryley and his wife, his birth mother, Heidi Wahl, sister and brothers, his grandparents, Kathy Wahl and Randy Charlton, as well as a large extended family. He is preceded in death by Rusty Russell, Wayne Hicks, and his great-great-grandparents Carl and Lois Galloway, and his great-grandmother, Patricia Ann Galloway. Kabin was a kind, caring, loving young man who loved life and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 4th, 2017 from 2:00-7:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home (500 W. Prospect, Moxee). His friends, family, and the community are invited to Kabin’s Celebration of Life which is planned for Saturday, May 6th, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Cross Pointe Church (7803 Ahtanum Road). Memorial Contributions are suggested to Suzie Smith, in c/o Brookside Funeral Home (PO Box 1267, Moxee, WA 98936), who is caring for the family. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.brooksidefhc.com. Kabin had recently professed Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, which greatly comforts the family in knowing that even though we are grieved at his tragic death, we grieve with confidence of where he is now, and that we will see him in Heaven some day!
