Kenneth "kenny" Frank Obituary

Graduation Year Class of 1965
Date of Passing Jul 19, 2016
About Kenneth “Kenny” Frank passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his life, Diana Frank, July 19, 2016, following a sudden illness. Kenny was born in Yakima August 12, 1947 to Alex and Joyce Frank.

He received his education in the Yakima public schools, graduating from Eisenhower in 1965. Following his graduation, Kenny proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, including his tour of duty in the Vietnam conflict. After his honorable discharge, he made a reputation, following his lifelong passion with cars, resulting in his ownership of Frank’s Chevrolet in Wapato, WA, where he ran a successful dealership for over thirty years, with his father, Al Frank. His passion for Corvettes and customized street rods resulted in his recent ownership of “Back In The Day Motor Sports,” allowing him to fulfill his dream of acquiring specialty cars full time. Kenny’s favorite pastimes were cruising with his family and friends in his Corvettes and street rods, attending car shows, and car rallies. He enjoyed quiet evenings, spending time with his wife he affectionately called “Bear.”

Kenny enjoyed his close relationship with his nephew and nieces: Tyler & Morgan MacDonald; who affectionately called him “Uncle Kenny.” Kenny was known for his quick smile, witty sense of humor, and his passion for those he cared about.

He is survived by his spouse: Diana Frank; brother: Larry “Denise” MacDonald; brother: Lee “Tina” Frank; and nieces & nephews in the Yakima and Seattle areas.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Alex and Joyce Frank.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday August 5, 2016 at Shaw & Sons Funeral Directors, Yakima. Burial services will be held at Terrace Heights Memorial Park following the services.
