Linda Gaffney, 71, of Yakima, Washington, beloved wife of Robert Gaffney for nearly 52 years, passed away on March 16, 2013 after a short illness.

Linda was born in Yakima, on July 23, 1941 to Lois and Orval Taylor, granddaughter of Bickleton Pioneers Charles Henry and Sarah Alice (Wattenbarger) Taylor. She grew up in the Yakima area with her sisters Patricia and Sharon and brother Larry. She attended Eisenhower High School, graduating in 1959. Linda went on to graduate from the Yakima Business College. Following college, she was active in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. She married Robert Curtis Gaffney on April 6, 1961 in Yakima, WA.

After graduation she worked at the Sears Roebuck in the billing department. Next she scaled the ranks at the of 3M Business Products Division Yakima Office ultimately becoming the first female division manager. After a short retirement, she bestowed her passion and devotion as part of the Keeler's Medical Supply family. She dedicated her last 34 years touching the lives of so many, always willing to go the extra mile for others.

Linda dedicated her life to assisting people, numerous lives were touched with her work and outgoing personality. She spent countless hours volunteering with various organizations such as the Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon and the American Cancer Society annual walk. Selfless in putting others before herself, her accomplishments were evident by the joy and laughter she brought.

Happiest while traveling, Linda did not keep still for long with boundless energy and music in her heart. Known for her one of a kind personality, she surely left a memorable impression on anyone she met. Linda was a lifelong bowler, WIBC and member of the 600 club.

Survivors include her husband, Bob Gaffney, and children Teresa, Drea, and Robert Gaffney. Preceded in death by her parents Orval and Lois Taylor.

At Linda's request there will not be a service. The family suggests that contributions be made to the donor's charity of choice in her honor.
