About | Lori Marie Young, of Moxee, went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Lori fought a courageous battle with cancer showing grace and love for her family, friends, and those caring for her. She always had a kind word, a smile and never a complaint during this difficult time. Whenever asked how she was, her response would always be the same, “Oh Fine” with a smile for whoever was asking. She will be remembered, missed and loved until we can all be with her again. Lori was born on August 11, 1959 to Jim and Diane Stump in Toppenish, WA. She grew up in Yakima with her brother and sisters, graduating from Eisenhower High School in 1977. She later attended Yakima Valley Junior College, focusing on a business degree. She met and married her high school sweetheart, Mike Young, on August 20, 1977. Together they had three children, Lisa, Travis, and Ryan. Lori’s children and grandchildren were the light of her life. She lit up with joy when her grandchildren came to visit her. Lori spent her time enjoying their sporting events and activities. She was determined to enjoy every minute she could with her family. Family is what was most important to Lori. She was always there supporting everyone with her quiet grace, beautiful smile, and amazing strength. Lori cherished family trips, water skiing, camping, fishing, hiking, going to Montana, the beach, sister weekends, trail riding, and drill team with her beloved horses. Lori was an amazing artist and creative in many ways. She blessed us with her love and time in creating all the special wedding, anniversary and birthday cakes that she made with so much love for each and every one of us. Lori worked for American Independent Marketing for 34 years. She felt incredibly blessed by John and Pat Wane and the entire AIM family. Lori’s work family meant the world to her. Lori had an incredible passion for horses. One might say she was a little “horse crazy” from a very young age! Most children would build snowmen, but our Lori built snow horses and taught her brother and sisters how to “rear jump” them! She enjoyed trail riding in the mountains with her Dad and she loved talking “horses” with her Aunt Vicki and Aunt Lynda! Lori has touched and blessed so many lives. She was dearly loved and will be incredibly missed. Lori is survived by her three children, Lisa Fambrough (Trent Luschen), Travis (Sabrina) Young, and Ryan (Jenny) Young; grandchildren, Colton and Kylie Fambrough and Colton Luschen, Alisha, Anthony and Jaxon Young, and Daniel and Ember-Jeanne Young; parents, Jim and Diane Stump; and siblings, Lianne (Donn) Clasen, Joe (Liz) Stump, and Mary (Marty) Berdine. A celebration of Lori’s life will be held on May 31, 2018 at Stone Church at 2:00 pm, 3303 Englewood Avenue, Yakima, WA. An off-site reception will immediately follow.
