About Margaret Ann Kubo (Peggy Phillips), aged 74, passed away on December 30, 2024, in Yakima, Washington, the city where she was born on June 15, 1949. Maggie embodied a spirit of joy and kindness throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who knew her.

It was there that she met Stanley and they were married in 1982. At the age of 40, Maggie decided to earn her Bachelors in Education at Central Washington University. Her passion for nurturing young minds led her to a fulfilling career as a second-grade teacher at Shorewood Christian School. Known for her kindness and joyful spirit, she left a lasting impact on her students and colleagues.

In 2007 Maggie joined Stanley in retirement and they moved to Conconully, WA where they enjoyed small-town living, quilting, sewing, going to church, fishing and being part of a small community.

After Stanley died in 2021, Maggie moved back to Yakima, to be closer to her family and friends. She loved being back in her hometown and found peace in the memories of her childhood and was able to reunite with many dear friends from Eisenhower.
