About | Pamela Jean Betts left this world with her family by her side, on July 12, 2024, at the Cottage in the Meadow. She was born to Don and Rose Rivard (deceased), on March 4, 1963, in Cudahy, Wisconsin. When she was 16, they moved to Yakima, where she attended Eisenhower High School (class of 1981). This is where she met the love of her life for the last 42 years, Robert Betts. They were married on December 26, 1981, and shared a beautiful life with their four children, Crystal Haller, Jennifer Pospical, Bobbi Betts, and David Betts. She was an amazing mother and loving grandmother of five beautiful babies, Emma Haller, Will Haller, Bobby McVey, Alan Pospical, and Charlie Pospical. She enjoyed working in the gambling industry, most recently as a card dealer at the Caribbean Casino. Her husband joined the service in 1981, allowing her to travel to another country and different areas around the U.S. She loved to explore the world. She loved the thrill and excitement, sitting in the middle of a storm eating her favorite food and watching the storm, like it was an exciting movie. She enjoyed going to bingo and loved her precious time with her grandchildren. She was the happiest when we were all together. In her younger years she was very active and competitive, being a part of softball, bowling, and pool leagues. She loved sports and it was a great day if her Green Bay Packers won a game. She is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and siblings, Debbie Hafert, Kevin Rivard, Donald Rivard Jr., Patricia Eggars, and Tracy Buroker. She had many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Our sun will always and forever rise and set with you, watching over us all and keeping us safe. We leave you in God hands now and look forward to seeing you again. A Viewing will be held from 3:00-7:00pm, on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Shaw & Sons Funeral Home (201 N 2nd Street, Yakima, WA). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00am, on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Holy Family Catholic Church (5315 Tieton Dr. Yakima, WA). |
