Peter James Whiteside passed away on August 2, 2023 in his home after a long battle with cancer. His wife Jessie was at his side.

Peter was born June 3, 1984 in Yakima and was the third of five children. He spent his early summers riding bikes, swimming, and playing wiffle ball with his siblings and friends. Peter went to Eisenhower High School and played varsity baseball. In 2002, he moved to Seattle where he attended the University of Washington.

While he was in college, he met the love of his life, Jessie. The couple were married on September 29, 2012 and moved to Shoreline to start a family. They have two children together.

Peter was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed cooking, house projects, and going on family trips to the Oregon coast and camping at Mount Rainier. Athletic and always active, Peter worked in residential construction and loved sports. When he had spare time during the week, he liked to golf and would play competitively for the men's clubs at the Seattle municipal courses. He also played on recreational basketball teams with friends.

He loved to take care of people and would often be found at the grill or organizing games when his family hosted get-togethers at their home. Peter will forever be remembered for his sense of humor and dedication to his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie; his two children: Shari and Leo; his parents Dave and Lynn; his siblings: Jacob Whiteside, Casey Whiteside, Jonathan Whiteside, and Christine Annen; his grandmother Shirley Whiteside as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
