About | Sammie R. Alder, born on April 10, 1964 to proud family Sam and Dee Alder, and sisters Marelle and Roslin. He left on April 24, 2017. He grew up in Yakima after moving here from Seattle in 1974. He graduated from Eisenhower in 1982. Sam loved playing the dirt, and was a landscaper most of his life. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and being with his best friend for life, ‘Nugs’ Janie. He felt she gave him a new lease on life, he was loved, had peace and hope. His greatest reward here on earth was trekking to the top of Mt. Rainier with his best buds. He was on top of the world. Sam will be missed by his family and many others. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, grandparents, sister Marelle, and his very close friends Doug and Mike. Sam is survived by his parents, Sam and Dee, sister Roslin, niece Tomi (Josh) Henegen, great nephew Jordan and great niece Bella, several aunts, uncles, cousins and great cousins, his loving lady ‘Nugs’ Janie; also his estranged wife Stephanie.
