About | Sandra Morrier, of Yakima, Washington, passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at the age of 78 years old, surrounded by her loved ones. Sandra was born and raised in Yakima, Washington, and was a 1962 graduate of Eisenhower High School, and later attended Yakima Valley College, where she studied Business Administration. Together with her family, they moved to Cle Elum, Washington in 1971, where she took pride in her role as the Secretary for the Chamber of Commerce. She was passionate about the growing community and attracting new business opportunities for the area. In 1982, the family moved back to Yakima. Sandra began her successful career as the Receptionist for the American Red Cross. She was loved by many faithful blood donors, who were drawn to her cheerful disposition, smile, and kindness. She also volunteered as a Disaster Relief Specialist, where she enjoyed travelling to different locations throughout the country and helping those in need. Sandra's work at the Red Cross was a tremendous source of joy for her. However, her most valued contribution was to her family and extended family for which she cared for and nurtured with dedication and grace. Sandra took great pride in making holidays very special occasions for her family, and instilling traditions that her children proudly carry on today with their own families. Sandra enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was a passionate gardener, always looking to enhance the beauty of the natural world around her. She was a big fan of the Boston Celtics and Seattle Seahawks. Sandra loved to travel and discover new places, take long walks with her dog, Duke, and enjoyed her scholarship luncheons with her dear friends from Cle Elum. Sandra leaves behind her husband of 53 years, Ronald Morrier, her daughters, Kimberly Morrier, and Chantelle (John) Masdea, her son, Brad (Karmel) Morrier, her grandsons, Gavin (Shyiel) Shinn, and Luca Masdea, her granddaughters, Heston Masdea, and Karlee Morrier, her great-grandsons, Warren and Kaden Shinn, her great-granddaughter, Haven Hillman, sister, Paula Fluegge, her brothers, Dennis (Nancy) Fluegge, and Greg Fluegge.
