Graduation Year | Class of 2015 |
Date of Passing | May 23, 2019 |
About | November 27, 1996 - May 23, 2019 In loving memory of Sarah Juanita Godinez. Sarah was born on the 27th of November 1996 in Yakima, WA. She was the only child of Juanita and Rogelio Godinez. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 2015, she loved writing, reading, taking pictures, anime, watching movies, baking and spending time with her family and dog Belle Rose. She was attending YVC in hopes of completing a degree in education. She enjoyed helping others any chance she could and always put their needs before her own. She will be remembered by all that encountered her with the biggest and most beautiful smile on her face and a friendly greeting. Sarah’s doctors gave her only minutes to live, if even that, and she made it to 22 years. They’d let her family know she would most likely be mute and wouldn’t be able to walk but in Sarah fashion, she proved all odds wrong. Sarah passed away on Thursday May 23rd, 2019 surrounded by family in Seattle, WA. She is survived by her parents Juanita and Rogelio Godinez, her grandparents Juanita and Perfecto Contreras, her grandfather Rogelio Godinez Sr., her aunt Sylvia, Joe, cousins Isabella and Roman, her uncle Bruno, Christy and Khaliana, uncle Javier, cousins Isaiah, Nikko, Xander, Zak, Logan and Jared, her aunt Frances and uncle Philip, cousin Andrea, her aunt Mari and uncle Filiberto, her uncle Salvador and Willa and cousins Billy (and wife) and Felicia (and family), her aunt Marichuy, cousins Mari (and family), Vicky (and family), Manuel Jr. (and family), Jose (and wife) and Joel, her aunt Virgina and uncle Jose, cousins Emmanuel and Antonio, aunt Victoria and uncle Carlos, cousins Gerardo (and family), Fernando and Mayela, her uncle Vince and aunt Rosa, cousins Ivan, Nataly and Adrian and her aunt Lilia and uncle Roberto, cousins Danae, Alan, Dennis and Yerani and several members of her extended family.
