About | Sharon Kaye (Watts) Neumeyer, 70, of Yakima, WA, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, October 17th, 2017. Sharon was born July 25th, 1947 to Cecil and Daphne Watts in Yakima, Washington. She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1965. After high school Sharon became a bank teller and continued to work in banking for many years. Eventually, she moved into law and worked as a legal assistant until her retirement. After retirement, Sharon enjoyed spending more time with her children and grandchildren. Sharon found much of her joy and fulfillment in life being a wife, mother and grandmother. She loved attending church each Sunday with her family, and for many years when her children were younger, she enjoyed planning and hosting church activities and functions. Sharon took great pride in making her home cozy and welcoming to family and friends. She was well-known for being a gracious and giving hostess and made everyone who entered her house feel important and loved. Sharon Neumeyer was preceded in death by her grandmother, Stella Hiles, and her father, Cecil Watts. She is survived by her husband, Monte Neumeyer and her mother, Daphne Watts of Yakima. She is also survived by two sons, Scott Steinloski (Julie) of Spokane and Nick Steinloski (Misty) of Bothell, and her two daughters, Heidi Rikard and Chelsie Rehfield (Tyler), both of Yakima. In addition, Sharon is survived by her two sisters, a brother, three stepsons, numerous grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and nephews and nieces. Viewing will be held between 4 and 8 PM, Monday, October 23rd at Keith and Keith Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be at Christian Life Center at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017. In honor of Sharon’s favorite color and Alzheimer’s Awareness, please wear something purple to her service.
